Sunset@Manzanita Lake in Lassen Volcanic National Park, California
Summer of '06
We camped near this lake which was very pretty. I remember reading that this lake was formed about 250 years ago when a volcanic eruption blocked a stream.. creative destruction!
Tenaya Lake,
Yosemite National Park (Tuolumne meadows region)

After finishing the May Lake trail, we stopped by at the majestic Tenaya Lake. It was between 8-9am and the lake was like a giant mirror. This lake is in the high elevation area of the park which most visitors skip..
The setting sun bathed it in beautiful colors which is otherwise a drab brown color.
